A New Member of the Family

This is Mimi. She's been with us a little over two weeks; as you can see, she's an orange tabby with a very pretty face :-) Mimi is 10 years old and her owner was an elderly lady who had to go to an assisted living facility. She could have taken Mimi with her but she was afraid that she couldn't care for her properly, so her daughter set about finding a new home for the kitty. I know that older cats are very hard to place from shelters -- everybody wants kittens -- so I said we would give things a try. So far it's going well; Mimi seems to have adapted better than I ever dreamed she would, and she and Timothy get along fairly well. Most of the time. She's still learning that some places are off limits for kitties, but those things will just take time.

She is really cute. I adopted a 3 year old cat from a shelter, 1 1/2 months ago. She is so well behaved. I have always gotten kittens and the older cats that come to us as strays. I am glad that I adopted my cat. They need homes and lovings to.

Mimi is beautiful! You are a wonderful person for giving her a home. Both of my cats are adopted and it warms my heart when others take in hard to place animals. Hugs

You want to know something LOL...I was just wondering to myself the other day if you were going to get another kitty to keep Timothy company. Mimi is cute, even to a dog person like me :)
