A Stitchy Post

I had a nice stitchy day today. I made a little excursion to one of my favorite LNSs, Covered Bridge Needlearts in Bridgewater PA, and picked up a few fibers. I want to start This Is the Day from a recent issue of JCS, so I got one of the GAST fibers I needed for that for that. I also got some NPI and Gloriana silks to add to what I'm gathering for Chatelaine's Alpine Garden. The fibers are mostly silks, so I have to get them a few at a time.

This evening I sat down with the Christmas Eve ornament. The designer is Elizabeth Foster and this is from a past JCS ornament issue -- 1999, I think. Here is a "before" picture (not very clear, sorry):

and here is after (again, not the greatest pic in the world, but you can at least see the beads):

The design calls for 2 Mill Hill Treasures; I have them on order but I'm thinking that I may just skip them. I like the design as it is and I don't think it really needs the Treasures. I'll wait until they get here see how they look.
