I start back to school next week! This is the last quarter and we are doing our internships. I'm doing mine at the school rather than in a doctor's office or hospital; coding internships are generally available only during the day and that really wasn't an option for me, since I can't quit my job without losing my benefits. Fortunately, the school offers a "simulated" internship in which we will have a CD-ROM loaded with actual cases (names have been changed) and we will work on those for 11 weeks. Doing the internship at the school is good in that I know I will be doing lots of coding, but it would have been nice to have been in a real work environment. I'll make it work either way! Graduation is October 12, so I plan to start shopping around my resume along about the first of September.
No stitchy happenings this week. I'm too pooped to stitch tonight, so I'm looking forward to picking up something tomorrow night.
