A Little Stitching and .... Watson?

So have you guys been watching the Jeopardy! shows this week with the two winningest contestants facing off against Watson the computer? And with Watson kicking butt and taking names? Yikes! I've been a Jeopardy! fan since the original was on back in the '60s and I've been really interested to see how the computer would fare. It's pretty amazing to me that it's so darn fast. Well, maybe it's not. Amazing, I mean. I can't imagine that Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter don't know the answers to these questions -- they're both very, very good -- but they just can't beat the computer on the buzzer. But it's also interesting that when Watson does give an incorrect response, it's not just wrong it's usually so far wrong that it's funny. It's pretty cool to watch, though.

Not much stitching has been done around here lately, so tonight I was determined to rectify that situation. I pulled out this little guy, my latest ornament:

His name is "Snowdon" and he's by Jimini Designs from the 2008 (I think) JCS ornament issue. I think he's too cute for words! I'm stitching him on something light green -- whatever the recommended fabric is; I got it from Needlecraft Corner -- and I'm using the called-for DMC and Gentle Arts fibers. The top picture is the finished ornie as shown in the magazine. The seaweed is green Estaz, which I'm not sure that I have any of but I may have something else that'll do. I'll do some stash diving when I'm done with the stitching.
.
Good gracious, it's getting on for bed time! Wishing everyone a good week -- happy stitching!

My DH works for Big Blue in research so he's been mighty interested in how Watson will do. We keep forgetting to watch though, so it's been more looking on the internet for how Watson did. lol!

I love the little otter -- so cute! I love otters anyway. I have to look up this issue.
