Sunday Morning Stitching

I got up earlier than the rest of the household this morning, so after I showered and got dressed I settled in for some stitching. I found a good spot in the breakfast nook, in front of a bay window and under a really good light, and stitched away for a couple of hours. It was nice, to just sit in the quiet, the only noises being the birds and other sounds from outdoors and the white noise from inside the house -- a fan, the fridge, nothing terribly intrusive. I just let my thoughts kind of ramble and enjoyed the rhythm of the needle and thread through the fabric. I had to frog the yellow flower; I put in about a dozen stitches and decided I didn't like the way they were laying, so I pulled them out and re-did them. I didn't even mind doing that. I put my stitching away when a couple of the residents of the house moseyed into the kitchen with a mind to making coffee and breakfast. I had my stitching spread out on the table, so I decided I'd best surrender my spot so they could eat if they wanted.
