Battening Down the Hatches

There seemed to be quite a few folks at the grocery when I stopped there this morning after church; not surprising, really, as the weather wizards are calling for some serious snow tonight and tomorrow, maybe 4 or 5 inches when all is done.  Paybacks for our wonderfully mild winter, I suppose.

Today was the first day in I don't know how long -- well, since before Easter -- that I've had a chance to sit down and do some stitching.  After lunch, I popped a Mission:Impossible DVD in the player (not the Tom Cruise movies, but the old TV series; I'm a big fan) and sat myself down in the stitching chair with This Is the Day and Peter Graves and company.  The tree is taking shape!

One side of me kind of wishes that work would close tomorrow because of the snow, but I know that won't happen and I'm not sure I really want it anyway.  We would be so behind it's not funny.  But I could make some more good progress on this piece ::sigh::

Wishing everyone a good week -- happy stitching!

Love your This is the Day. Good luck with the snow. I hope it treats you better than the same sort of storm did us back in October. It was not good at all!

I love this piece, and you're making some good progress.

Snow, huh? We're having a warm weather week in Colorado. So odd this year.

I love this sampler you are working on, the crown in the alphabet keeps drawing my eye. Stay safe in the snow! Who can figure this wacky weather!
