So I took This Is the Day to stitch night on Friday and finally finished the background behind the alphabets -- woohoo! There are other solidly worked sections, but this was the big one and I'm glad to be done with it. I worked on it last night and this afternoon and made some good progress on the tree and got started on the sheep. I did change the color on the sheep; the called-for color is "Roasted Marshmallow" from GAST and it just blended right in with the ground fabric, so I switched it out for Weeks "Whitewash". At least you can see it.
No traveling this weekend, so yesterday I got my taxes done and did some tidying in the stitching room. I'm trying to do some serious de-stashing; I have stuff that I don't want to move to West Virginia when the time comes.
All is well here. Hoping everyone has a great week -- happy stitching!

Your TitD looks great! Good that you changed the color of the sheep -- can see it perfectly! Good luck with the destashing.
This Is The Day is looking great!!! I have this in my WIP basket. I need to get it out and make some progress on it! lol
I think every stitcher has a wip basket!
Nice stitching!

This sampler is looking beautiful.
Have a great week!
Hi Karen, I think WIPs are the name-of-the-game for us ... too many beautiful things to stitch ... too little time!
What part of West Virginia are you moving too?
Hi Karen..Love your sampler too..I live in Buckhannon..I think you will like WV it is a beautiful place..
Great work on your TitD. I'm jealous that you have your taxes done, because mine are still waiting for me to jump in.
This is very pretty! Our taxes are done we are just waiting until later to send Uncle Sam his money. When I add up all we are paying in taxes and deductions it's ridiculous! I hope you get money back you can use for stash LOL.
Hi Karen, I have just happened upon your blog. Your stitching is so beautiful, love this sampler you are working on. Also love your cute kitties, Timothy and Mimi. I see in the sidebar it says you are reading Testament of Youth. Someone just this week recommended and raved about that book. Are you enjoying it? Have a wonderful day!
