Back to Stitching

Now that Earth Sampler is finis, I've turned my attention to another fairly small sampler that I'd really like to get done. It's one of the Spring Samplers from Prairie Schooler and here's the progress so far:

This one isn't a BAP by any means, so it shouldn't take very long to finish.  I just need to focus on it and get 'er done.  I'm tired of having a gajillion WIPs in my basket and never getting anything completed.

And speaking of WIPs, I pulled out Little Paradise this afternoon and put some stitches in that one also.  It's not a real BAP, more on the big size of medium.  I started it in 2007, so it's time to work on getting it out of the basket.  I'm stitching it on 36-count linen with the called-for Silk 'N' Colors silks.

Here's where I started today:

And here's my progress:
The alphabet is smyrna crosses stitched over 4 threads.  Normally I don't mind smyrna crosses, but over 4 with 1 strand of silk is a pain.

And my stitching buddy for the afternoon:
"Stop swearing at that silk.  How's a cat supposed to get any sleep around here?"

Wishing everyone a great week and happy stitching!
