I did finally get some stitching done this weekend! I've been working on-and-off on This Is the Day and I've almost got the top alphabet and fill-in finished:
I haven't finished the fob I've been working on -- I'm the only person I know who can turn a fob into a long-term project -- but yesterday I pulled the DMC colors for a couple of reproduction samplers from SANQ. One is Isabella Johnstone; I have a piece of 40-count pearled barley from Lakeside that I think I'll use for her. The other piece is Margaret Havelock from issue #58. The called-for fabric is 28-count fawn from Lakeside but I'll go stash diving to see what I can find for her.
I had an uncontrollable attack of start-itis today and I decided to go with Earth Sampler, from The Primitive Needle. I've had it kitted up and ready to go for a while. I'm using the called-for Weeks and GAST fibers on a piece of 40-count navy bean linen (Lakeside?) It's a very small start, but it's a start:
.
Finally, the fur-kids:

Love the fur kids! Great pic! Nice progress on TitD too! I love Earth Sampler -- great choice for a startitis sort of start. Isabella Johnstone is a fun stitch. I love Margaret Havelock too!
Nice start on Earth Sampler! It's a perfect piece for this time of year. I was just thinking today that I need to start mine!
Nice progress on TitD! I like your new sampler start plans. Both of them are on my must-do-asap list. I have gone years w/o stitching anything from SANQ and now I can't get enough of the samplers in there!
Nice progress and I'm jealous you started something new. I'd love to start something else but have waaaayyyy too many things going right now ;)
