Moon Garden

This has been my Sunday afternoon stitching:

I pulled it out of the WIP basket last week. It's been a couple of years since I started it and today I've been working on the purple center of the the flower. I'm using the called-for GAST fibers on 36 count "Tundra" from Lakeside; I'm stitching with just one strand of floss, so between that and the light color fabric, the colors don't pop like they do on the model. I think that's part of why I haven't stitched on it for a while, but now that I've picked it up again I've decided that I really like the more muted effect. My plan is to concentrate on this piece and get it finished before I start anything new -- aside from a new ornament!

Stay warm!

Beautiful. I love the muted colors. I need to put all my WIPs in one place and try to get some of them done.

Have a great day.

That's a great project, and I really like the colors.

It's lovely, Karen! Such a pretty piece. I kept singing refrains from James Taylor's song about "Moon Shadow" while stitching mine, for some reason!

I have this partial kitted (chart and thread) but no fabric yet.
Love yours and no it is not too soft! I stitch with 1 thread on everything so mine always have a softer look to them.
