Gosh, I've actually been stitching recently. Amazing! I've been really trying to make some progress on Isabella, and here's where I am:
The flower is almost done; I think it's so pretty.
I've been concentrating on this piece and not working much on smaller stuff the past couple of weeks. I really want to get her finished.
One of my goals for 2014 was to stitch from my stash, and I found a blog with some excellent guidelines to make sticking to the goal easier and a little less painful. Mel over at Epic Stitching is hosting a stitch-from-stash group and, while I was too late to get in on the group, I thought her guidelines would be very helpful. Basically, the idea is to stitch from your stash, BUT you're allowed to spend $25 a month on needed supplies (after all, everybody runs out of floss occasionally) or on that chart or piece of fabric that you just have to have. I've already shot my wad for February (yikes!) on a Designers Across America chart from EGA and two new samplers, Salina Dunwoody from Sheepish Antiques and Thankful Davis from...well, I'm not sure who from but I'll let you know when it gets here. Maybe R & R Reproductions? If you go to Samplers and Santas, Salina Dunwoody is the center sampler in the blog header. Isn't she pretty? As far as Thankful Davis goes, I had to get her. I just had to. I found her on E-bay; she's been OOP for a while, I think.
We're due for some more winter weather this week ::sigh:: Is it spring yet?
Have a great week, and happy stitching!

Hi Karen! I am a new follower having just discovered your blog this morning. We are neighbors somewhat ... I am in Kentucky : ) I've always had a soft spot for cows so really like the sampler you're working on here, & your kitties are very cute : )
Isabella is looking great!
I have stitched Salina and just love her! Isn't that an unusual name? I will have to check out Thankful Davis.
I am using the Stitch from Stash guidelines to help curb my appetite too!
Great progress on Isabella! You are getting closer. I am trying to stitch from stash too. I think that the guidelines are pretty good :)
