Snow on Snow on Snow

I'm not sure what time the snow started yesterday, but this was what the deck looked like at around 9:30 yesterday morning:

Then at noon-ish:

And at a little before 3pm, I opened the slider and stuck the yardstick in the accumulation on the deck:
Could've been worse; we got more snow than anticipated but we didn't get the ice that was predicted.  The forecast is for more of the white stuff tomorrow.  I'd just as soon that it didn't.  At least snow makes me appreciate the warm weather that we have in the spring and summer.  At bad weather does seem to bring out random acts of kindness; late yesterday morning, after DH had gone to work, I glanced out the window and saw our next-door neighbor clearing our driveway with his snow blower.  The snow was still coming down pretty briskly at that point so he was kind of fighting a losing battle, but I appreciated his effort.

And speaking of DH...he worked yesterday evening, got home after midnight and came to bed about 2am, then got up at a quarter to 7 so he could clean off my car before I went to work.  I have the best husband!

Snowy days are good stitching days.  Isabella's cow is looking a bit more bovine.
I'm really enjoying stitching this piece.  I worked a little yesterday on my England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales mini-cushion, but didn't get a picture.  Progress was made, however!

Best wishes to all for the week -- stay warm and happy stitching!

I love Isabella ~ I think it is the cow that is my favorite part of this piece!

I prefer plain snow to ice. We got ice. Snow tomorrow, supposedly. Love your Isabella! I want to see your mini cushion. :D

You are right ... snow days are a perfect excuse to just stitch the day away! This icy/snowy weather is creating a little havoc with my Christmas 'to do' list!
Love your 'Isabella' ... this sampler has such a charm about it.
Stay warm and safe!

Oh yes, stitching or reading at home is the best occupation on snow days. But I always hated driving to work on slippery or icy roads.
