Greetings all! I know this is a long overdue post, but here it is at last. I thought it was time to share some stitchy updates.
First of all, here is my progress on the Broderie bird. I don't know what happened with the picture; the quality is pretty bad. I think you can still get an idea of where it is compared to a couple of posts ago. I really don't have too much more to do.
I had an irresistible attack of startitis about a month ago. I had all the supplies gathered for Days of Advent, so I sat down and started putting stitches in it. I started on the "Abram and Sarai" day and this is all the further that I have got:
I'm using DMC threads and 40-ct. linen from Lakeside.
I also started on Chatelaine's Desert Garden Mandela. I'm stitching it on 32-ct. also from Lakeside; I think I'm using "bisque". I'm using the called-for fibers on this one. I haven't made a lot of progress on it, either :-)
I've been considering starting an afghan. I've wanted to stitch something on the Lady Elizabeth afghan fabric (Charles Craft?) for a number of years but have just never done it. I've also been thinking about a series of floral designs by Maureen Appleton that was in one of the cross stitch magazines several years ago. They were charted for DMC flower thread (yep, it's been that long ago!) and were meant for an afghan. My first problem is remembering what magazine they were in, and, if I manage that, my second will be finding them -- assuming that I still have them. ::sigh:: Oh well, it's all about the journey, isn't it.
Wishing everyone a good week -- happy stitching!

Lots of pretty stitching! I think startitis is going around as I have had the same problem now for about 4 months! lol Enjoy the journey!
Wow, love all your stitching! Startitis can be fun. lol! I saw the Days of Advent and knew I recognized it. Nice to see someone stitching it again!
